A Visual Identity That Gives Culture a Voice: For many years, the Versicherungskammer Kulturstiftung has been supporting art and cultural initiatives in Munich. With a change in leadership and a newly curated, ambitious program, the foundation sought to redefine its visual presence. The previous appearance had become dated—functional, but disconnected from the cultural quality it represented.

Our task was to create a design language that reflects the intellectual and artistic scope of the foundation’s work, while remaining flexible enough to adapt to a wide range of events and formats. The new system needed to express diversity without losing coherence; to be understated, yet unmistakable.

At the designs core lies a reduced, typographically distinctive design system—balanced between calmness and character. Clear structures, generous spacing, and a disciplined yet expressive typographic approach allow each event to develop its own atmosphere through imagery and color, while maintaining a consistent visual framework.

Developed in close collaboration with the foundation’s team, the identity evolved into a long-term, living system: from stationery and posters to invitations, microsites, social media assets, animations, and on-site materials. Several printed pieces have been recognized with design awards, demonstrating that high-quality production and resource efficiency can go hand in hand.

The result is a contemporary and confident visual identity that positions the foundation anew within the cultural landscape—stronger, more visible, and more connected to its audience.
