Zentrum für neue Sozialpolitik

Designing Relevance for Social Change: The Zentrum für neue Sozialpolitik (ZSP) is an independent, non-profit think tank based in Berlin. It develops research-based analyses, strategic concepts and practical policy recommendations — and creates space for the exchange of innovative ideas around social transformation.

Our task was to create a visual identity that reflects the ZSP’s intellectual depth while remaining open and accessible to a broad public. The design translates the scientific foundation of the institution into a confident, contemporary visual language. Clear typography, balanced grids and a precise colour system communicate transparency and credibility without appearing institutional or distant.

The identity extends across digital and print communication, enabling the ZSP to present complex content in a clear and engaging way. Design becomes a tool of relevance — a means to make knowledge visible, to invite participation and to strengthen the public discourse around social policy.

Shortlisted at the ADC Awards, the project illustrates how thoughtful design can help institutions of knowledge become not only seen, but understood.
